Shopping Spree and My First Visit to Lush!

So this weekend I went shopping for the first time in ages! It's safe to say that I may have got a little out of control... or a lot! I'm not even sorry. I feel like now is the time to tell you that this shopping trip had been planned and I was very careful at the beginning of the month, with the aim of letting loose. There is nothing more fun than shopping without worrying about the amount that you've spent.

This shopping trip other than being rare, was the same as any other. That was until I stepped into the wonderful land of Lush. Now I've never been to Lush before and I can't tell you for the life of me why not. I have no good excuse. Whenever I walked past it with my parents, my stepdad would always say "That place smells like a headache!", my husband always says a similar thing now. I rarely go shopping on my own and when I do, I'm usually in a rush. On the odd occasion I have had some spare time and have contemplated going in, I've always been too scared. It sounds silly, but I was. The next time you're outside a Lush shop, just stop and take a look in. They're always rammed (now I know why), it's very in your face with all the bright colours and the staff are on you the minute you walk in! But this time I went in.

Why have I never been in before?! It is where I belong! A shop that sells nothing but purely indulgent pampering tools, is definitely one for me! I spent no less than £57.60 on bath bombs, hair products and a fresh face mask and there isn't a single part of me that is sorry about it. I was like a kid in a sweet shop! Once I started smelling all the different flavours of bath bombs, I could stop! I wanted one of everything!

The staff that I'd always viewed as overbearing from outside, were possibly some of the most helpful people I've ever met. If you've been into Lush before, then you'll know that some of the products need a little bit of explaining, especially if you're new to the party like myself. It reminded me of the Edible Room from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Needless to say that this is now one of my favourite places! I will definitely be going back and if you've never been, then please visit at least once. It's amazing!

Peace out! xxx
