Books: The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

Recently I've been loving Murder Mysteries and this is no exception! I've been holding off watching the film, as I wanted to read the book first. I had high expectations for this book, because I had heard that it was as good as Gone Girl, which is the book that got me into Thrillers and Murder Mystery type stories in the first place.

Initially I was annoyed that the female characters came across as quite weak, but I think this is probably because I've just read a book on feminism, written by a very strong female. Also the style of the book is not something I'm into, this is written in a diary format, from 3 points of view. This is often annoying as one of the characters is usually boring, but the chapters are short and the perspective changes often and there wasn't a single character that wound me up. Paula Hawkins writes beautifully and you really grow to understand the nature of the characters broken personalities.

I couldn't put this book down. I love guessing plots and I like to think I'm quite good at it, but this story kept me guessing right up until the very end! I highly recommend this book! What a read!

Let me know if you've read this book and what you thought! Also, if you have any book recommendations, please write it in the comments below.
