OK, so I'm pretty sure I started reading this when I was in school, but I probably had to return it to the Library before it went overdue... I'm a slow reader. But for some reason, when I was trying to decide what to read next, this book came to mind. I'm glad it did, as it is a brilliant book. It's amazing to think that the Author was only 14 years old when she wrote it! It is the first in a series of 2 and I fully intend to read the next book, Mirror Wakes.

I love the concept of this book. It is set in the Void where Dreams and Nightmare live. Our protagonist "Leanan Kite" is a legendary Mage who we follow, as he is forced to journey back to Haven in order to help stop Nightmare from taking over. We also meet Dreamers, who are pretty epic when they know what they're doing.

I find the idea of our minds traveling to another land when we go to sleep quite interesting. That when we dream, we are just someones visitor. For such a young author, she got some good moral stories in. There needs to be balance, you can't have the good, without the bad.

I'd love to know if you've read this book and your thoughts on it. If you have any recommendations, please let me know in the comments below!

Happy reading! xxx
