Comfort Reads

It's been a while since I posted on here. Mainly because I've been so busy and stressed at work that I've not really had any time to do anything apart from sleep and eat!

I am a classic escapism reader. If I get even the slightest bit stressed, all I want to do is curl up with a good book.

When I'm really stressed I turn to Harry Potter. At some point throughout the year I will need to read Harry Potter. It is my comfort read. Something about the universe draws me in and I can shut everything else out. It is the ultimate de-stress tool!

There's nothing that makes me happier (especially in the summer) than sitting in my doorway with a cup of tea, reading (I'm even happier if it's raining). Or if it's dark outside, curling up in bed early with my book and a hot chocolate!

As you can see, my hard copies are particularly "well-loved", and the later books are humongous, so I also have them all on my Kindle! Perfect for when I'm away from home. And yes, we also have 2 copies of the Deathly Hallows, part of the troubles of combining libraries. #FirstWorldProblems

This got me wondering if any of you have comfort reads? Maybe you aren't quite as obsessive as me? Or maybe more so? Let me know your de-stress rituals in the comments below.

Lots of love xxx
