June has been a big month for me. I finished working at my old job and started my new job! It has been a roller-coaster of emotions. Have I made the right decision? What if I don't like my new job? What if I don't get on with my new colleagues as well as I did with my old ones? I've been asking myself all this and more, but it's safe to say that I have been enjoying the change.
I think it's always going to be weird starting a new job. I was very lucky with this move, because I already new I could do the work, that was no issue to me. I was more concerned about fitting in than anything else. I've moved to a very small company and I mean seriously small! There's less than 10 of us! It's insane! But so far I think it's going well. I hope.
With this change in job, came the opportunity to take a couple of weeks off in between and go on holiday! Again, I know I'm very lucky here! It's not always financially possible to do this, I've always had to rush into my next job before now. But since I could, we decided to go to Crete, which is a gorgeous place and I highly recommend a visit! The people are lovely there too!
Anyway, this leads me to my first favourite of the month!
Tanya Burr Cosmetics - Bear HugWhat an absolutely gorgeous colour! Very light and summery. My perfect holiday lipstick. The formulation is very moisturising. I am always applying lip balm, dry lips make me feel very uncomfortable and I can't focus on anything else. It's a weird thing I have, but ever since the age of about 12, I've had to have lip balm with me at all times. Bizarre, I know! But this often makes lipstick a nightmare. I only have a few "go-tos" that I know will serve me well and this is now one of them!
My KindleWhile I was on holiday, I also re-discovered my love for my Kindle. I love reading, we all know this. I love nothing more than to hunker down with lots of blankets and cushions, with my giant Marauders mug full of tea and a good book! This image in my mind, puts an actual book in my hand. Be it hard back, paper back, old or new, I don't care. But when going on holiday I find I am always hit with the baggage allowance struggle. I am almost definitely trying to take at least 3 or 4 books with me. So, my kindle always comes into play here. I can shove it unceremoniously into my bag, knowing that even if I finish all the books on there (unlikely), I can just find a spot of wifi and download a new one in seconds. Huzzah!
Also, I have all the Harry Potters on my Kindle, all seven books with me at all times?!?! Can you even contemplate how happy that makes me? I don't think you can, unless you too are afflicted with the same obsession I am, which now that I think about it, of course you are! How could you not be?!
Anyway, onto the others...
No7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream for Normal/Oily SkinThis is a life saver. As I'm starting my new job, I'm getting back into my self care and part of this is doing my make up for work. As we've been having a lot of hot weather and my skin is looking good (if I do say so myself!) at the moment, I don't want anything too heavy. Just something to even out my skin tone and this does that perfectly! It is also aimed at oily skin types, which is me and my T-Zone.
Other great things about this product are it's SPF 15 (UVB, this is what burns your skin, so it's important to wear something with SPF) and it's 5 start UVA cover (UVA is what ages your skin, so always get the highest available)! No7 are a Hypo-Allergenic brand, so I've never had any problems with their products.
Chameleon Glitter Gel PolishI had this on for my holiday. I wanted something a bit special and boy did this deliver. I had on Ellite99's Chameleon Gel Polish in 3012, which changed between purple, green, blue and pink depending on the light and the angle you caught in at. I can't wait to were it again! It was mesmerising, every time I caught sight of my nails I was amazed again at the colours!
So that's everything that I've been loving in June! What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments below!
Lots of love! xxx
